Permanent Solutions for Missing Teeth
Just because you lose a tooth doesn’t mean you’re doomed forever to an embarrassing smile or difficulty chewing. Dental implants are a practical and permanent solution that our team can provide by surgically placing an anchor for a replacement tooth.
At North Scottsdale Endodontics – Scottsdale, AZ, dental implants happen in three phases:
- A skilled dentist places the post into the jawbone
- The area heals and undergoes osseointegration, which means it combines with the bone to create a solid foundation.
- An artificial tooth is placed securely onto the implant.
Meet Your Root Canal Specialists - Board-Certified - Experienced
Dr. Thomas V. McClammy
Dr. McClammy earned his Master's degree in Endodontics at Boston University under Dr. Herbert Schilder — 'the father of modern-day endodontics.' With 40+ years of experience and a specialty in surgical microscope-assisted root canals, he brings elite-level precision to every procedure.
Dr. McClammy has always embraced technology and was one of the first general practitioners in the country to use the Surgical Operating Microscope in his dental practice. So impassioned by the microscope and its versatility in his general practice he was approached to lecture at the California Dental Association symposium held in San Francisco in 1996. This led to other opportunities to provide much needed information regarding the efficacy of adding the microscope to the dental office.

Dr. Susan Wood
Dr. Wood is Board-Certified by the American Board of Endodontics — a distinction held by fewer than 3% of endodontists nationally. With 17+ years of specialty practice and multiple published research articles, she is one of the most credentialed endodontists in the Scottsdale area.
Dr. Wood continued her commitment to the specialty of endodontics by completing the written, oral and case requirements of the American Board of Endodontics to become Board Certified in 2010, while also maintaining a full-time private practice, teaching part-time at her alma mater, and celebrating the birth of her son, Oliver.
